Centor Oceania had the pleasure of recently attending the ASF Seed Business Convention held in Adelaide. Our General Manager, Simon Watt, who was previously head of R&D delivered a very informative presentation on seed coating. It was a great opportunity to engage with the seed sector at the Australian and International level.
A great time was had by all – certainly our Sales Manager, Ian Perryman enjoyed the dress up night wearing his favourite AFL team colours.

A warm welcome to our new member of staff to Centor Oceania, Dr Ming Koh is taking up the role of Research Scientist and will be assisting in developing our seed coating materials, in particular our polymer portfolio. Ming has relocated from Sydney where he went to university, and has spent time in the last few years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at universities in France and the UK where he worked on a wide array of polymer projects.
Centor Oceania announces the appointment of Simon Watt as the company’s new General Manager. Simon’s appointment is key to the implementation of Centor Oceania’s strategy to gain further market share in the seed coating materials sector in both the domestic and international markets.
Having worked for Centor Oceania since its inception and within the seed treatment industry for more than 20 years, Simon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the General Manager role.
Simon’s prime objective in this new role is to grow the reach of the business into new markets and expand the product range available to customers to encompass an ever more holistic seed technology enhancement offering.
Eric Juckers and Fiona van der Moere announced the launch of CENTOR EUROPE at this years ISF in Hungary. Centor Europe mission statement is to be recognized as the “Centor Groups European centre of excellence in seed coating and related technology”.
While ISF was a great platform for the introduction of our newest member, it certainly created a real buzz throughout the seed industry.
Centor Oceania has developed a lab scale seed flowability tester which can do just that, by using the flow meter you can distinguish between seed treatments with a high degree of accuracy.
Seed Flow can be used as an indicator for:
- How quickly seed will pass through equipment
- If there will be any issues with bridging in hoppers
- Gauging plantability in the field
- What level of abrasion can be expected
