Once seed has been coated with active ingredients it is helpful to know how effectively that seed treatment stays on the seed. Centor Oceania are able to test this for you using the Heubach Dustmeter. This can be achieved by using either; the standards set by the ESA, or by Centor Oceania’s extended dust testing methodology.
The results will give a good indication of how well your seed treatment protocol is working.
Centor Oceania had the pleasure of recently attending the ASF Seed Business Convention held in Adelaide. Our General Manager, Simon Watt, who was previously head of R&D delivered a very informative presentation on seed coating. It was a great opportunity to engage with the seed sector at the Australian and International level.
A great time was had by all – certainly our Sales Manager, Ian Perryman enjoyed the dress up night wearing his favourite AFL team colours.

A warm welcome to our new member of staff to Centor Oceania, Dr Ming Koh is taking up the role of Research Scientist and will be assisting in developing our seed coating materials, in particular our polymer portfolio. Ming has relocated from Sydney where he went to university, and has spent time in the last few years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at universities in France and the UK where he worked on a wide array of polymer projects.
