It has been a pleasure helping our customers reach their goals during 2017, and we look forward to contributing to their success again in 2018. Centor Oceania are looking forward to attending ISF in Brisbane this year where we will have a comprehensive display of polymers along with other technologies and equipment.
If you would like to make an appointment to meet with our polymer experts, please drop an email to Ian Perryman, email@example.com
Please enjoy our short presentation.
Centor Oceania had the opportunity to play host to a number of members from the Australian Seed Federation (ASF) on Wednesday 23rd November.
From all reports they were thoroughly entertained by our Head of R&D Operations, Simon Watt with a presentation on polymers and Ian Perryman, our Sales Manager who talked about both polymers and seed treatment machinery. The afternoon ended with a cuppa, lots of questions then finally a walk through our impressive R&D laboratory.
The feedback was that it was very informative and we think everyone learnt something and took something away from it.
Centor Oceania have just attended the 23rd Asian Seed Congress held at the Songdo Convensia, Incheon, South Korea. This year, APSA welcomed a number of expert speakers, guests and VIPs who covered PVP, IPR, Seed Technology, Vegetables & Ornamental, Field Crops, Cover Crops, Trade and Marketing.
An enormous amount of interest was shown in our range of polymer products which really tackle the important issue of dust from treated seeds and flow ability. Centor Oceania pride itself in having available some of the best polymers in the market place for reducing dust. All our new polymers under development go through rigorous testing and quality checks to ensure that they meet strictest of standards. Particularly in the case of dust, our aim is not just to meet the required standard but to exceed expectations.
We would like to thank the hundreds of visitors to our booth, if you didn’t have the opportunity to visit us, feel free to drop us an email with any questions.

Continuous improvement in agriculture means that nothing ever stays the same; this is certainly true for seed treatments and coatings. At Centor Oceania, our aim is to stay ahead of the curve in terms of coating developments for materials, equipment and analytics. Over the past few years we have introduced into our laboratory the most relevant and latest technologies for seed coatings. The Heubach dustmeter for measuring fine dusts given off by treated seed means we have been able to develop highly effective polymers, as well as assist customers with their application regimes. The lab flowmeter was an in-house development to accurately measure seed flow for small samples of coated seed. Complimented by a plantability test stand that utilises the SeedSense monitor for precise measurement of seed placement under a variety of conditions, all this is just part of a larger picture.
IMPROVEMENTS TO DUST: The real trends in the seed coating market have been towards low dust products which help improve safety for all those handling the seed but also mean the effectiveness of the seed treatment itself is maintained. read more…Seed Coating Technologies
Do you know what the biggest, unavoidable cost for seed companies is?
Is it personnel, R&D, travel or legal? None of these, it’s actually inventory write off. Seed companies destroy between 30% – 60% of their inventory each year, just because the seed is obsolete or more often, unsuitable for sale.
Learn how to rescue your seeds by registering for the SeedResQ course which will be held in Thailand from 17th – 28th October, 2016. This course will cover areas of; how to keep your seed alive and in good shape for as long as possible; how to identify seed that will deteriorate the quickest, and why; how to minimise further deterioration and slow down the aging; and how to save and sort the best seeds our of a bad seed lot.
As spaces are limited to 16, bookings are on a “first in, first served” basis, so be quick. If you require a registration form email mailto:email@example.com or contact Christine on 03 8779 2103. SeedResQ course outline
